Magna | Oil filter

Precision and product quality play an important role in the automobile industry – which is why the Austrian automotive supplier Magna relied on the expertise of Greiner Assistec when it developed the new M0009792 oil fi lter. The experts designed the entire manufacturing process, which relies on a combination of plastic and metal and thus guarantees robustness and durability.

In the overmolding process, the metal grille of the filter is first inserted into the injection molding machine and overmolded with a plastic frame. Then the housing is injected, and all the parts are assembled using ultrasonic welding. Sensors are used to scan to ensure that the O-rings are completely mounted, which further adds to product safety.
